this post is almost two years in the making. i can’t even wrap my head around the fact that i’m actually writing it, and yet, here we are.
i’m moving abroad to teach english in south korea for a year. i leave in t-minus 27 days.
the last month has been a nonstop party, what with moving all my stuff into storage and then moving myself and a few suitcases into an empty sublet with no internet (hence the completely lack of updates), but it’s all finally coming together.
i’ve passed the month mark. contracts are signed. visa paperwork has been mailed. my flight is booked.
two weeks from now, i’ll leave austin and spend a week with my parents, where i’ll indulge in all the meals i can convince my mom to make (though i highly doubt she’ll need much convincing) and spend every second i can with kipling (who is staying stateside with my parents even though being apart from her will physically make me ache.)
then it’s up, up, and away i go.
